[[THE BIG ONE(s)]]
So... I never really went into much detail regarding what exactly I'd be doing here.
Well, just to keep it short (and to not spoil the surprise), I've had some ideas for larger projects that I'd like to try one day. I've got all these ideas and places and characters (many of which you probably haven't seen), but they just felt like they should belong somewhere.
As I said on the "About Me" page, I was considering getting into game development. I know, I know, a lot of people are doing that nowadays. Still, it could be fun, and it could be a chance for me to refine some of the lesser skills I have.
Even if these don't exactly go anywhere when/if I put them out into the real world... that was never the point. Honestly, it just feels good to create. To make things. To have an idea, and to see it come to fruition, even if only partially.
...You know how the brain is divided into two halves?
Now, I'm no psychologist or neuroscientist, but they say that the left half handles all the logical work, while the right half is the more creative and imaginative side. Or so I've heard, I may have the sides mixed up...
My point in bringing this all up is to say: I feel like the more creative side of me has been kept on a shelf for too long. I have all these ideas, but nowhere to put them. In the midst of school, and then college, that half of me kinda took a back seat (and still does to this very day).
I'm not happy knowing that.
A whole part of me, one that I ENJOY having, has just been left to collect dust for a long time. That doesn't sit right with me.
So, why not try and set aside some of my free time to create an outlet for that? I mean, I can't guarantee that what I'll intially make will be any good, but hardly anyone starts out perfect. Gotta start somewhere, right?
...I dunno. That was a bit of a ramble, but... still, looking on what this place could be makes me excited. Even in the midst of the potential "junk era" that may ensue, I still wanna see where this goes.
Anyone out there, I hope you're excited to see where it goes too.
